New single Carousel, and everything that came before.
Carousel is the new single from Coppelia, out Friday 23 October. It's a song about the working week quietly eating your life, and the moment you decide not to let it.
Push weeks aside for the minute, time's stretched, it's diminished
Carousel is about feeling trapped in the cyclical nature of work, the weeks blur into each other and life drifts past while you're just trying to keep up. The verses sit in that haze and describe the feeling of letting life go by. The choruses are a glimmer of hope, the moment we realise that if you don't grab a hold of it, it'll drift right by. There's a line, 'push weeks aside for the minute, time's stretched, it's diminished', and that really embodies the message of the whole song. The powerful bridge, wailing sax and outro is our response, our message to the listeners to break out of this cycle and 'don't let it pass'.
Stills from the Carousel music video shoot, set in a fittingly office-bound world.
Our most in-your-face track, and a crowd favourite live.
Our most passionate, hard-core and in-your-face track. It's a detour from our usual cruisey sound, but one the crowd has come to love live.
Shot, cut and cooked up in-house by bassist Riefe (film degree and all), with our good mate Jade Petry behind the camera.
