The five members of Coppelia
Our story

From backyard parties to K Rd.

Coppelia are a five-piece from Tāmaki Makaurau pairing indie rock with reggae and jazz: huge, immersive sounds and an energetic, sax-filled live set. The band met at the University of Auckland and came up through the city's backyard and house-party scene, going on to headline Karangahape Road's Double Whammy and make their festival debut at Matakanarama on New Year's Eve 2025.

The name comes from Coppelia Avenue in Tauranga, a nod to sun-soaked summers and simpler times.

After releasing the singles Forget It, Manasoul, Skitzo and Summer Fling in 2025, Coppelia return with Carousel on 23 October 2026. They'll play Whammy Bar on 12 November supporting Cheeky Leash, then headline Palace Tavern in Mount Maunganui on 20 November and Double Whammy in Auckland on 21 November.
